All but one player folds in a round. Once all but one player has folded, a final round of betting occurs. During the last round, all but the player with the highest hand will be revealed. If there are more players, the showdown will occur. Those who have the highest hand, or the best five-card combination, will win the pot. Alternatively, the pot is divided among the other players.
Some poker games, such as pai gow poker, use a different set of rules. Other games may use a ranking system to determine the order of hands.
